How We Build.
Our Process
Installation
Our teams consist of experienced carpenters and assistants using traditional decking techniques.
Our teams are fully equipped with the right tools and quality materials.
We do not cut corners. Durability and finish are always the priority.
Sealing
We seal decks using a high-quality water-based sealer. Maintenance is required every 6 to 24 months, depending on exposure and foot traffic.
We also offer a deck oil with a drying agent in it and maintenance scheduled for every 6 – 12 months… depending on exposure and foot traffic.
Screw holes on balustrade handrails are filled as standard. Decking screw hole filling is available as an optional extra.
Maintenance
Unsealed timber will oxidise and turn grey over time. Regular maintenance keeps your deck looking good and extends its lifespan.
In the Midlands, most decks are maintained annually.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ’s
Where should my deck be positioned?
In most cases, a deck works best when positioned fairly close to the house. This improves access, usability and flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Positioning is always assessed on-site, taking into account views, levels, sun exposure and how the space will be used.
What size should my sundeck be?
The size of your deck depends on how you plan to use it. Consider whether you will be adding furniture, entertaining guests, or using it as a play or relaxation area. Budget is also an important factor. We help guide you to a size that suits both your needs and your space.
How many people can my deck support?
For residential decks, we normally build to support approximately one person per square metre. All decks are constructed using proper structural methods and materials to ensure safety and durability.
What balustrade options do you recommend?
The best balustrade option depends on several factors, including deck height, safety requirements, whether you have young children or pets, and the overall look you want to achieve.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are fully insured with public liability cover, giving you peace of mind throughout the project.
Does my deck need to be sealed?
Yes. We strongly recommend sealing your deck using a high-quality water-based sealer or oil. Sealing protects the timber from weather exposure and UV damage and helps maintain its appearance over time.
How often must my deck be maintained?
Maintenance frequency depends on exposure to sun, weather and foot traffic. In some cases, maintenance may be required every six months, while in others it may only be needed every 24 months. In the Midlands, decks typically average annual maintenance.
Do you fill the screw holes?
We fill screw holes on balustrade capping and headers as standard. Filling screw holes on the decking itself is available as an optional extra if required.
